Hello! My name is Hutch DeLoach and I live with my wife and soul mate (Patty) here on Live Oak Island, down on the gulf coast of Florida. We're located due south of Tallahassee and on the bottom edge of the city of Crawfordville.

We're blessed to have found this wonderful place on the water in Wakulla County, and there's not a day that goes by that we don't thank the Lord for providing it.

My father lived in this area as a teenager and served as a lifeguard and jungle cruise boat driver over at Wakulla Springs back in the late 1940's.

Dad used to share stories about all of his adventures and especially of the Hollywood productions that had been filmed there at the springs.

Included in the list was Tarzan (with Johnny Weissmuller), Creature from the Black Lagoon, and one of my favorite TV shows back when I was a kid - Sea Hunt (with Lloyd Bridges.)

Patty and I attended FSU in the mid 70's and, even with my family history in this area and Patty's and my time there at the university, it never occurred to either of us that we would wind up here one day and call it home.

So, why the website? Well, I built it from scratch and, to be honest, it's more about my interest in website design and coding, and the creativity that comes with all of that, than anything to do with engaging an audience. I hope to use it as a place to write about things that interest me and to keep a scrapbook of pictures about life on the gulf coast.

In fact, it may even wind up serving as a place for family and out of town friends to check in on us, but in my mind it's still more about playing with the technology than with any thoughts of pursuing a regular (or irregular) readership.

Still, I'm glad you stopped by and hope you find something that catches your interest.
